KABUL, May 7 (Xinhua) -- The counter-narcotics police in the drive against illegal drugs have smashed around 100 acres of illegal crops, including poppy and hashish farms in Baghlan province, north of Afghanistan, provincial director for counter-narcotics Mullah Mohammad Nabi said Thursday.

The operations covered several districts, the official said, and warned of taking stern action against anyone who cultivates or produces illegal drugs in the province. ■
