HAIKOU, July 27 (Xinhua) -- The NBA Summer Basketball Camp 2018, sponsored by NBA China and Mission Hills, started on Friday in Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan Province.

Gary Harris of NBA side Denver Nuggets attended the opening ceremony and met with the students.

"I came over here yesterday. Some of the kids are pretty good, and they really want to learn the game," said Gary, adding that the kids were very attentive and ready to learn. He expected the children to keep improving and having fun in playing basketball.

The coaching team, led by Harris, are all very experienced NBA coaches.

A total of 120 youngsters participated in the 10-day training camp, which set up two groups aging 6-12 and 13-18.?
